Natural and fun portrait photography in the Islay landscape.
I offer a simple, natural style of portrait photography - allowing the people to become the star of the show. Whatever the ages, I can capture portraits that the whole family can admire.
Why an Islay Photoshoot?
Have you come back from a family holiday with just a few windswept selfies and some 'nice' landscapes? Why? Don't do it again!
An Islay photoshoot is an experience to be enjoyed: fun, active and full of giggles and natural smiles (yes, really!).
Leaving Islay WITHOUT amazing images leaves behind memories & family times that could be shares with each other & family and friends; now and in the future.
Don’t miss out!
You couldn't be in better hands for a family photographer! I'm also a part-time teacher, so I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve to make sure your little (or bigger) ones are in the right place to get those perfect pictures! Sessions are fun and engaging, there's no awkward posing here!
"These are great, we had a really fun time. Thanks again for everything!"

About Your Shoot
Things you may have been wondering about!
THE ISLAY WEATHER
We can usually work with most weather Islay throws at us. We can change locations depending on the wind direction, time of day, angle of the sun. You’re hiring a photographer who know the best places, whatever the weather!
Lots of wind and rain? Yes, there are some (surprsingly rare!) times when it just won’t be great. I’m pretty flexible, so we can look to change times and find something that suits you.
I'll always take into account the ages of your family, where you are on the island and come up with a stunning location that suits everyone.
I'M NOT REALLY A 'POSY ' PERSON
The main thing with your photoshoot is to have fun! Do that, and the pictures come naturally! You and the whole family will be guided through - and I'll make sure the kids have a great time! It's my job to make sure you look your best, and I know the poses, the activities and the places to make that happen.
HOW DO WE SORT A DATE AND TIME?
The first thing to do is to get in touch, on Islay you always have to be quite flexible, so I am too. Usually we'll set a date and approximate time, then we'll just keep an eye on the weather and keep in touch. We can always change or tweak plans depending on what the weather's doing, how little ones are doing and what the light is like.
What does it cost?
It all starts with a simple session fee of £100.
That's all you need to book your session and get started.
SESSION FEE INCLUDES
+ One hour location photoshoot
+ All image editing
+ Online gallery
+ Social media ready downloads
But what about prints, high res downloads and the other 'stuff'? Well, when you book we arrange a call and we can discuss what you need and how much it will cost - that was there's no confusion or surprises.
